A brief presentation about the most extensive and open-access astronomical databases Simbad and Vizier. We will show their basic handling such as executing table queries and table crossmatches. Moreover, we’ll introduce the desktop application Topcat - a table processing tool, capable to directly connect and download the necessary data from online databases. Finally, we will mention some nice Python libraries, which allow you to perform all of the mentioned tasks from your own code.
