As space flights become increasingly accessible, the number of objects in orbit is also growing, especially in low orbit. To avoid collisions between functional satellites and space debris, there is a growing need to monitor these objects. This is the primary focus of Astros Solutions company. The presentation will introduce the network of sensors that Astros Solutions uses to monitor objects in orbit, from LEO to cis-lunar orbits. Projects underway in collaboration with ESA focusing on space safety will also be presented too.

Kultúry po celom svete považujú geometrické tvary, ktoré proporcionálne súvisia zo zlatým rezom, za príťažlivé a oku lahodiace. Zároveň je podstatou geometrických pomerov v prírode. Ako to číslo určiť? Čo má spoločne s Fibonacciho postupnosťou? Je prítomné aj na škálach vesmíru? A aký má význam v prírode? Na tieto a ďalšie otázky sa pokúsim dať odpovede.

In 2023, ESO greenlit the implementation of new data reduction pipelines in Python; as opposed to legacy pipelines written mainly in C. The data reduction pipeline team of METIS, one of the first light instruments of the Extremely Large Telescope, is among the first to take advantage of this. With a new language comes a lot of opportunities to experiment and develop standards for the future generations of astronomical software packages. I will present the current state of the data reduction pipeline framework, how it integrates with the existing ESO software stack, and show a few challenges encountered while implementing high-performance data reduction algorithms in Python.
